Happy Anniversary!

Our pastor, Dr. Gary Dice was honored at Grace Baptist Church on June 7 for 40 years of ministry and 25 years as pastor of Grace Baptist Church!

He entered the ministry in 1975 at the age of 17 and accepted the pastorate at Grace Baptist on June 10, 1990.
He is the longest serving pastor in his county. In his many years of work at Grace he has ministered to thousands of people, inside and outside the church.
The Church has grown and prospered under his ministry, having built a new auditorium in 1993 and a fellowship building in 2004.  The church supports 66 missionaries and has a tract ministry that has reached into 134 countries.
His earlier ministry involved youth work, nursing home ministries, bus ministry, soul winning, music, teaching, preaching and holding various positions in the church.

He was director of East-Central Indiana Baptist Youth Fellowship several years.  He attended Hyles-Anderson College in Hammond, IN and graduated in 1990 with a B.S. Degree. He also received a Doctorate of Humane Letters and Master’s Degree in Religious Education from Faith Baptist College in Athens, AL.
Pastor Dice married Linda Swift June 10, 1977 and was married 18 years at the time of her death.  They had two sons, Ryan and Joshua, both married, and three grandchildren.  He then married Pamela White on Feb. 10, 1996 and they have two sons, Jeremiah and Micah, both at home.
Services Sunday included a pictorial history of earlier life, testimonials, awarding of plaques for both milestones, special music, floral tribute for his wife and presentation of a trip to the Holy Land.  Guest speaker for the services was Dr. Les Hobbins, longtime friend.
